Day Use Area
Squaw Lake Lagoon
Fantastic Fishing!
On the opposite side for the boat ramp and behind the showers, softly nestled into a less traveled part of Squaw Lake, is Squaw Lake Lagoon. Like most of the Day Use Areas at Imperial Dam LTVA, Squaw Lake Lagoon offers swimming, fishing, fire rings and picnic tables. However, it is best known as a great fishing area. While no overnight camping is allowed there, you can tent a short walk from the lagoon. It is located right on Squaw Lake which has access to the Colorado River. As such it generally has more boating traffic than the Senator Wash Reservoir. If you’re looking for a less traveled path, Senator Wash is a good alternative. No matter which one you choose, you will have a great time!
